DC Convert

On the DC Convert page, you have the opportunity to convert duplicate records into already existing accounts and contact or create new ones. Decide if you want to create an opportunity or a task with the conversion, send an email to the record owner and more.
You can find all duplicates across Leads and Contacts by clicking the DC Convert button on a certain Lead. The DC Convert button can be added to the Lead page layout and is available when editing your page layout.

The DC Convert button is shown as a button on the DC Results Overview and Record Overview page. It uses the scenarios applied to it to determine which records are related and can be processed in a conversion. 

DC Convert can be a button in the Lead page layout or it can be accessed from the DC Results Overview page.

DC Convert page

After being clicked, the button redirects to the DC Convert page. On this page, you can choose to convert the record into already existing account and contact or create new ones.

  If you want to change some of the preselected records you can drop them by clicking the 'Deselect' button. In the search box, you can search for your desired record. If you want to add a fresh new Contact or Account to this conversation, click the 'New *Object*' button.

On that page is shown:

General Lead information. Shows all fields that are defined in the 'Result Fields' feature.


Selected Account

Shows the selected Account record for conversion.

If one of the records involved in the conversion has a related Account record, it will be shown in the 'Selected Account' panel. 
Ignore the 'Deselect' button if you want to update the account with the other records involved in the conversion.
Clicking on the "Deselect' button will drop the currently shown 'Account Record' from the conversion. 



If there is no already existing Account record that is related to the records involved in this conversion, then a "New Account" button will be shown instead. Clicking on it will create a new Account record. You can also search and add already existing one from the 'Search box'.




Selected Contact

Shows the selected Contact record for conversion.

If one of the records involved in the conversion has a related Contact record, it will be shown in the 'Selected Contact' panel. 
Ignore the 'Deselect' button if you want to update the contact with the other records involved in the conversion.
Clicking on the "Deselect' button will drop the currently shown 'Contact Record' from the conversion. 



If there is no already existing Contact record that is related to the records involved in this conversion, then a "New Contact" button will be shown instead. Clicking on it will create a new Contact record. You can also search and add already existing one from the 'Search box'.





Convert Information

After making decisions for both, account and contact, only then the Convert Information panel will be shown.


General



Record Owner  Set the record owner 
Send Email to the Owner  Notify the user by email that he is assigned as the owner of this record
Conversion Status Record status after convert
Override Lead Source  

Opportunity

Create Opportunity Enable if you want to create an opportunity for this record. 
Opportunity Name Label the opportunity.


Task

Create Task Enable if you want to create and include a task in this record for its owner.
Task Subject This drop-down menu includes few common task subjects or to fill your own custom task.
Status Select the status of the task.
Priority Select a priority for the task.
Due Date Select a due date for the task.
Comments Write down any comments, recommendations etc. 
Send Notification Send notification to the Record Owner.
Reminder When enabled, you will be able to pick a date on which a reminder will be triggered.
